Good developer skills package: problem solving, strong programming, pragmatic decision-making, and a firm commitment to testing; Experience with Ruby & JavaScript languages, frameworks & environments; Experience in NoSQL (specifically MongoDB & Redis) is a plus; Nice-to-haves include experience delivering a scalable web API service, front-end work on browser-based tools based on jQuery & HTML5, and mobile development experience with Android, iOS or cross-platform services
You'll either work on our product's web API or the browser-based tools our customers use to drive our product. In fact, because we're a startup, there's a good chance you'll get to work on both in some capacity. You'll get to learn the fun and games of deploying and scaling a service in the cloud, creating performance and capacity simulations and help to tune our APIs and datastores. Like the rest of us, you'll work on customer stories and tickets based around a two-week iteration cycle of paced development with the occasional sprint.
